We focus on your practice, needs, and interests, whether you are new to yoga or more experienced. WTB is not cookie-cutter yoga. Our instructors have advanced training and teaching experience, and a professional and intuitive approach, so all levels, abilities, genders, and ages can feel at home here.

Re-set with a self care or wellness getaway, a Maine Yoga Retreat, or combine yoga with writing, art, dance, or other form of creative expression. Retreats and workshops might be one hour, a half-day or week-long, solo or with a group. Add yoga to your reunion, bridal, athletic, or team-building event or activity. As your wellness concierge, we work with our hospitality and tourism partners to plan and oversee your custom or curated wellness event, retreat or workshop.

Partner with us to bring wellness programs, memberships, special events and activities to your guests, patients, team, employees, athletes, students, clients, and customers. We partner with organizations in hospitality, healthcare, tourism, recreation and sports, residential communities, companies, cities and towns, and more, and we support the work of our mission-based partners, work that makes the world a better place.

progress.

We know that the professional and personal parts of life are intrinsically intertwined. Leslie Cargill, founder of Way to Be Wellness and Yoga and Cargill + Co. Communications and Marketing, has been coaching individuals and consulting with businesses for 35 years. Reaching a goal, overcoming a challenge, or successfully navigating change - whether a new job, your next book, growing a business, or lowering your blood pressure - starts with feeling good in body and mind.

“The yoga instructor, Leslie, has a wonderful vibe. She exudes a peacefulness in her practice that translates well into the class. I felt so much better after two classes; a restored clear heart and mind. Thank you, Way To Be.”

— Elizabeth, Way to Be student

a mission to keep moving.

Our call to action is to build community through the practice of yoga and healthy living; create access to excellent instruction and a choice of offerings; encourage humans of all ages, abilities, genders, backgrounds, and fitness levels to experience the physical and mental health benefits of movement, meditation, and yoga; and to help each wtb client and guest explore their own unique and sustainable yoga and wellness practice.

This mission moves us and moves with us here in the Kennebunks and around the State of Maine.

A bit of history - Way to Be almost wasn’t. We opened our doors in the spring of 2020, just as a global pandemic came knocking. For 4 years, we’ve been Way to Be, a Kennebunk yoga and wellness studio. Now we’re rolling out the rest of our story, services and offerings that were back-burnered while we navigated through Covid as a community. We are forever grateful to a few hundred loyal and spirited Way to Be-ers who’ve shared this first chapter, their personal stories and time together on the mat.

You (and your mat) will always have a place here.

Beginning May 2024 - Way to Be is moving and growing. Friends new and old, everyone is invited to be part of Way to Be Wellness and Yoga Collaborative’s 4 new ways to wellness - a unique mix of services, experiences and locations to help you achieve your goals and live your best life here in Maine and beyond.

And you can always take us with you (home, work, vacation, school) with yoga to go.

Focus on your yoga practice with our private, small group, or pay-what-you-can community classes. Pause for a wellness break with a WTB retreat, workshop, or custom event. Partner with us for your corporate wellness program, as a hospitality member, or for healthcare and medical referrals. Call on our coaching and consulting experience (500+ hrs yoga training, 1000+ hrs yoga teaching, MBA in service marketing) to help you progress in life and in work, navigate challenges, and achieve business and personal goals.

Way to Be classes and yoga experiences are held at the historic Kennebunkport Community House overlooking the river and beyond the studio at beautiful out-of-the-way spots like beaches, parks, trails, islands, or wherever you may be.
